The indexed documents are from the six main bodies of the United Nations (General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council, Trusteeship Council, Secretariat, and the International Court of Justice) and include Official Records, mimeographed or masthead documents, sales publications, limited and restricted documents; and documents from sessional and standing committees, functional commission, conferences and regional bodies. Full-text resolutions from the General Assembly, Security Council, and the Economic and Social Council are appended to their respective bibliographic citations. Articles appearing in selective United Nations periodicals are also individually indexed as are bilateral and multilateral treaties.

A comprehensive bibliography of articles on the history and culture of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. The database comprises almost 400,000 bibliographic entries with abstracts. The database content is drawn from over 2,000 journals published worldwide in history, related humanities, and the social sciences . The coverage of America: History and Life also includes citations to book reviews from over 100 major journals of American history and culture and relevant dissertations from Dissertation Abstracts International.

Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO) is designed to be a comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs. It publishes a wide range of scholarship from 1991 on that includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from non- governmental organizations, foundation-funded research projects, and proceedings from conferences. It also has more than 160 links to international affairs centers, institutes, and resources; U.S., international, and foreign govenment sites; environmental studies Web pages; and news media services.

Provides abstracts of political science articles published in scholarly journals and yearbooks worldwide. Topics include method and theory; political thinkers and ideas; political and administrative institutions; political process (public opinion, attitudes, parties, forces, groups, elections); international relations; and national and area studies. Approximately 95% of the records include abstracts, with most written in English and the remainder in French (for articles in languages other than English). Titles in other languages are always translated into English.
